The Investment Subsidy for Sustainable Energy and Energy Saving (ISDE) supports companies and non-profit organizations in the purchase of sustainable installations. The goal is to encourage the use of sustainable alternatives to gas and electricity in existing utility buildings and homes. For business users, the scheme focuses on three categories: heat pumps, solar boilers, and small-scale wind turbines.
The ISDE reimburses part of the costs of sustainable installations. For heat pumps, the subsidy ranges varies, depending on type, energy label, and capacity, find the current subsidy here. In 2026, a total budget of €550 million is available, with an additional €5 million specifically for small-scale wind turbines for business users.
To be eligible for the ISDE, the subsidy must be applied for before entering into a purchase obligation or contract. After approval, the installation must be put into use within 24 months. Applications are processed in the order they are received, so timely submission is essential.
