A fast and cost-efficient energy transition is more important than ever. The DEI+ subsidy encourages entrepreneurs and end users to use less energy in their production processes or to develop innovative technologies that reduce CO2 emissions.
Â
The DEI+ scheme is a very extensive subsidy program, with more than €150 million in incentive funds available annually for pilot and demonstration projects of energy innovations. Applications for DEI+ must fall within the following themes:
Energy efficiency
Renewable energy
Local infrastructure
Circular economy (industry)
Carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS)
Natural gas-free homes, neighborhoods, and buildings
Â
The benefits and subsidy amount
Depending on the theme, the contribution can range from 25% to 50% of eligible costs
The subsidy is a minimum of €125,000 and a maximum of €15,000,000 per project
Medium-sized enterprises can receive a 10% bonus on top of the subsidy percentage
For small enterprises, this bonus is 20%
Â
Important conditions
The project must be a pilot or demonstration project. – **Pilot project:** A process in which CO2-reducing measures are tested in environments representative of real-world conditions. – **Demonstration project:** An end user applies an energy innovation project in practice. The subsidy is for the end user who implements this technology first.
Each theme has its own conditions and rejection criteria. Feel free to contact one of our specialists to discuss the (im)possibilities.
