To accommodate as many applications as possible, the subsidy percentage has been reduced as of 2025. At the same time, thanks to underspending in previous years, an additional \u20ac10.78 million is being added to the subsidy budget on a one-time basis.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br\/>What does this mean in practice?<\/h2>\n\n<p><br\/>\u25aa\ufe0f An additional \u20ac3.5 million for archaeological national monuments.<br\/>\u25aa\ufe0f An additional \u20ac7.28 million for the category \u2018o&gt;ther national monuments\u2019 with a reconstruction value of \u20ac8.3 million.<br\/>\u25aa\ufe0f In addition, a structural \u20ac5 million per year will be made available for the maintenance of large church buildings.<br\/><br\/>This is expected to allow more applications to be approved in 2025, especially in categories where previous applications were rejected due to insufficient budget.<br\/><br\/>Although this expansion applies to 2025, it is especially important now, as an owner or manager of a national monument, to start preparing for the SIM tender in 2026.<br\/><br\/>At Van Draeckeburgh, we assist owners of national monuments every year in drafting a strategic maintenance plan and a strong subsidy application.
